Wolfe's Pond Park is a wonderful place to visit any time of the year. In spring migration the woods come alive with warblers, vireos, and wrens. Waterfowl frequent the pond through out the year. The fall is a great time to find pied-billed grebe, american coots, ring-necked and wood ducks are easily found around the edges of the pond, while great scaup, with a few lesser occupy the center. Not enough can be said for the beach! This is the location where in 2002, and 2004 a western grebe visited for about a month each visit. In spring 2004, a common eider spent over a month foraging just off shore. Iceland, and glaucous gulls are found here each year starting in the fall, and remaining until late spring.
